Emergency aid around the world together
Thanks to donors, the Red Cross is ready to help when disaster strikes. With your support, suffering in some of the world’s most severe crisis zones is alleviated. We deliver essential supplies, care for the sick and injured, provide psychosocial support to those affected by crises, and help communities prepare for future disasters.
Right now, aid is urgently needed in places such as Nepal and Gaza.
Help is always close by in Finland as well
Trained Red Cross volunteers are ready to help all the time, every day of the year. They offer psychosocial support to people facing unexpected crises, provide material assistance — for example to those who have lost their belongings in a fire — search for missing persons, and maintain readiness to respond to emergencies.
In recent years, the Disaster Relief Fund has been used in sudden accidents or emergency situations in Finland on average more than three times a week. This work is carried out in support of the authorities.
