Youth Shelters are open around the clock

Our Youth Shelters are located in five cities: Espoo, Helsinki, Vantaa, Tampere and Turku. We also offer help for young people and their loved ones throughout Finland online.

Contact us online, call us whenever you need to or come directly to one of our Youth Shelters. You can come to us on your own initiative and without an appointment. Our help is free of charge.

Your problem can be big or small, we are here for you.

During the summer, the Youth Shelters in the Helsinki region offer centralised temporary accommodation and discussion support services for the region’s young people and their loved ones around the clock on weekdays and from 5 p.m. to 10 a.m. on weekends.


– In Espoo Youth Shelter from 23 June to 3 July.
– In Vantaa Youth Shelter from 4 July to 17 July. 
– In Helsinki Youth Shelter from 18 July to 31 July.


The normal Youth Shelter activities resume on 1 August 2022.

The temporary accommodation at Tampere Youth Shelter is closed in the summer from 23 June to 31 July. Discussion support is available in person and online from 27 June onwards on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., apart from the period from 18 July to 31 July.

Digiraati is a unique participation and influencing platform for people under the age of 29. Participating in Digiraati discussions is an easy and safe way to make one’s voice heard. Digiraati also offers many kinds of volunteer activities for young adults.
