The board of the Nose Day Foundation decided on ending the foundation’s operations on 16 April 2025. The Finnish Red Cross has been one of the supporting organisations of the Nose Day.

We warmly thank all Nose Day donors for their support in the important work for children in vulnerable positions.

The Finnish Red Cross’s long-term development co-operation will not come to an end when the Nose Day funding stops. Instead, this work will be covered with the help of different sources of funding, such as donations and public subsidies.

Nose Day donors have helped achieve great results

The Red Cross strives to build healthy and safe communities through long-term development co-operation. The donated Nose Day funds have been used to help children, in particular.

In 2023, the Nose Day funds allowed the Finnish Red Cross to:

  • improve the health of 68,000 children in Somalia
  • promote the health and safety of 58,000 children in Tajikistan
  • support the nutrition of 19,000 children in Burundi.
