Regional activities

The activities of the Finnish Red Cross are divided regionally into 12 districts and 500 local branches. Each district has its own district office, the main task of which is to support the activities of the local branches.

The districts train volunteers and the general public, too. For example, the first aid courses organised by the districts are attended every year by tens of thousands of people.

The branches operate in their own regions using volunteers. The most visible forms of activities are the first aid group and friend visitor activities as well as fundraising.
