You can direct your aid either to the Disaster Relief Fund or to volunteer activities in Finland, or to both.

The Disaster Relief Fund

With donations made to the Disaster Relief Fund the Red Cross helps the victims of natural disasters and conflicts around the world. When faced with an emergency, aid supplies, such as tents, blankets, clean drinking water or an entire field hospital to the disaster area are delivered. After providing emergency aid, the Red Cross and Red Crescent will help in the rebuilding and teach how to proceed in the event of an accident. The Disaster Relief Fund also enables us to support development cooperation programmes and continuously fight disease and hunger together with local volunteers.
In Finland, the aid provided is mostly psychological support. Aid is also given to many families who have, for example, suddenly lost their home in a fire. The Voluntary Rescue Service operations are also supported by the Disaster Relief Fund. The Voluntary Rescue Service assists, for example, in searching for people who are missing.

Domestic aid in Finland

By donating to the domestic appeal, you are supporting the development of our friend visitor activities, first aid group activities and Youth Emergency Shelters in Finland. Healthpoints provide free advice on how to take care of your own and your loved ones’ health.
Your donation will enable us to continue and develop the volunteer operations across Finland.

Would you like to become a monthly donor?

As a monthly donor, you ensure the continuation of aid work. Thanks to regular donations, aid supplies and aid workers are ready as soon as something happens in Finland or abroad.
With your help, volunteers can offer hope and safety for those in need every day if the year – everywhere in the world.
