Substance Abuse and Mental Health Association

SAMHA is an association built by immigrants for immigrants. SAMHA was founded in 2009 with the aim of helping communities understand mental illness and substance abuse, while creating an understanding of how to cope with bureaucratic daily life challenges, how to integrate into Finnish society and how to get help in different situations in life.

“We are creating a future where our communities understand mental illness and substance abuse. We help by empowering people, especially immigrants, with the knowledge and tools to navigate the system and cope with daily life challenges which can affect their well-being.
