The Homework Help clubs meet after school and volunteer instructors help with homework. In this homework club we chat and spend time together.

Homework Help offers an opportunity to concentrate on homework after school. The Homework Help instructors help when schoolwork in Finnish seems difficult and your parents are not able to help you. In Homework Help you can go through the content of the homework with instructors.

Instructors also listen to your concerns and encourage you if school feels difficult. In addition to homework, we also spend time together, play games and chat.

Homework Help is intended for students in comprehensive school. Even though these clubs are in particular aimed at children and young people who have immigrated to Finland, all schoolchildren are welcome. The Homework Help clubs are led by instructors trained by the Red Cross.

In addition to helping with homework, Homework Help boosts your self-confidence and gives you a chance to make new friends. The aim of Homework Help is not only to help with school but also to encourage as many young people as possible to continue studies after the comprehensive school, either in a vocational school or in an upper secondary school.

The Homework Help clubs of the Red Cross operate in the Helsinki metropolitan area and in the Central Uusimaa. They are supported by Helsinki Cooperative Society Elanto (HOK-Elanto).
