The Finnish Red Cross sends aid to dozens of countries annually. The Red Cross and the Red Crescent have a total of 187 national organisations around the world. These organisations have almost one hundred million members and volunteers.

The Finnish Red Cross always operates in cooperation with the local sister organisation and its volunteers. It is precisely the fact that the Red Cross always operates at home that makes it stand out from the rest.

The support of the Finnish Red Cross is aimed at improving the preparedness of the national Red Cross or the Red Crescent, i.e. the ability to help the most vulnerable groups of people in their own countries.
