In all of the countries the members of the movement are just ordinary people from Rovaniemi to Ruanda. You can tell who they are by their attitude - they have will and ability to helo and they take responsibility for the weak and disadvantaged.
Becoming a member of the Finnish Red Cross means joining an international movement with over 100 million members. The Red Cross offers support to the locals and is at the same time prepared to offer assistance internationally wherever the need arises. You do not need to save the world by yourself.
There are approximately 100,000 members in the Finnish Red Cross. As a member, you will have the chance to touch the lives of many people. Your membership fee supports our volunteer and aid work, first aid courses, friend agencies and many other forms of good works. In a crisis situation we can offer help efficiently and without delay - thanks to your membership fee. Being a member of the Finnish Red Cross tells something about you - you dare to take a stand and believe in the power of compassion, deeds and presence.

Family membership
A family living in the same household may become a family member of the Red Cross. For families, the first membership fee is the normal annual fee while the fees for the other members of the family are:
